Eric Kjelshus personally helped me do a deep energy retrofit of a 1907 bungalow in Manheim Park. It went way beyond installing an HVAC system--he dropped by regularly and shared building science and practical approaches to creating an energy efficient, durable building envelope. He and his team are also very careful and thoughtful with the design and installation of the HVAC system. My installation schedule changed several times, and they were remarkably patient and flexible. They aren't cheap, but you get so much more from them, including an optimized system that will provide comfort and efficiency for many, many years. I give them my highest recommendation.

We were in a bit of a pinch when our air conditioning unit went out the same day as my wife's due date! Thankfully the people at Erik Kjelshus Energy Heating and Cooling were a huge blessing to us. Everyone I talked to was kind, personable, and willing to work around the specifics of our situation. By the end of the day they had come and gone, our a/c was running again, and we were much more comfortable. Will definitely use their services again.

2016 note - Eric stood by his work, when the AC refused to work this spring, and replaced the fan for us, providing a temporary fan while waiting for the correct one to arrive. Still the best!
****Eric and his team (George and Darrin), just completed the installation of a new AC for us, along with the necessary adaptations to our existing furnace system. Their work is impeccable! Beautiful craftsmanship where adaptations were needed, careful work with removal of the old and installation of the new AC... and to top it off, great job cleaning up too! We haven't used the new AC yet, but are eager to see it, and fully expect a drop in our energy costs as well, because the whole system is far more efficient than the previous one. incredible! he came, he went. he did a few extras to make sure we weren't to inconvenienced by needing our hot water replaced. Eric even was considerate enough to move it to a better location to give us a little more space in our laundry room.
